This story is fan-freaking-tastic! What an incredible surprise Anie created when she released this novella. Lena leaves such a sad, sad life until she decides to re-kindle her love life, who would have thought what comes next turns out to be so positive. Hot, steamy, fun, sassy romance book. I can't wait for the next in the series!

I wanted him. It was as simple as that. It was also dangerous. I was willing to risk it all for just one night with him. As I watched my carefully structured life fall apart around me, I needed him to make me forget. Preston was everything I knew I should walk away from, but impossible to leave behind. He would be my undoing, my downfall, but I wanted nothing more than to be undone.

**You must read book one, Private Affairs, before reading this book**

Lena and Preston have a relationship that they shouldn’t have. Preston is supposed to be Lena’s private investigator to find proof that he is cheating to get her out of her prenuptial agreement. Lena needs to be staying as far away from any other man sexually as possible so that she doesn’t lose everything and have to pay her husband $100,000.00. Preston makes Lena want to say yes in all the wrong ways, but are they really wrong? Can Lena survive if she gives in and gets caught?

Wow, another incredible book by Anie. Just a warning, she LOVES writing cliff hangers and boy does this book have a cliff hanger ending! I just have to know what happens next. You might need a cold shower when you are done with this book because dang, let’s face it, Anie writes some incredibly hot sex scenes and this book has plenty of them. The turmoil that Lena is going through makes you want to keep reading, to find out if she will get what she is looking for. I couldn’t help but smile at different parts in the book, making me feel like these things could happen in real life, not just in a book. There were a few times when I was on the edge of my seat reading to find out just what was going to happen. I was absolutely flabbergasted and heartbroken at the end of the book and pretty angry too.

You must read this series! If you think you hate serials and don’t want to give these a shot, I beg of you, let that idea go. Start with book one, Private Affairs, purchase this book, and wait for the third book, Private Getaway, to be out then get ready to have your mind blown away! There is nothing to disappoint in these books. They are suspenseful, have hot sex scenes, and are fun to read. What more could you ask for?

Lena never anticipated the man she fell in love with would betray her, but she found herself alone, in a hotel room, having walked away from her marriage with nothing but one hundred thousand dollars in debt and an affair that turned out to be a sham. There was only one thing she could do. Get away. On the idyllic beaches of Hawaii she sought peace, reflection, and a new beginning. But a new beginning meant new challenges and new relationships. Would she ever grow to trust after everything she’d been through? The only place she felt safe was her own Private Getaway.

Lena had to leave and had to start over. She was broken and had nothing. Why not start over somewhere beautiful? She could do it. She could make friends again and find a job. She was a fighter. Could she ever give in to the idea of Preston again? Would she be able to survive?

This book was incredible. Short, sweet, to the point. I loved how Anie wrote Lena in the beginning of the book. You understood she was heartbroken and sad but she didn’t sound incredibly dreadful. There were some shockers in the story which had my mouth dropped open for a few seconds as to the surprises Anie pulled, they were awesome! There was an incredible amount of detail and description in this book to envision the scenes as they passed but to also understand each scene with clarity.

Let’s talk about Serials for a second. I hate them, despise them, and loathe them. I’m impatient and they drive me crazy. Anie is one of two authors in which I will suffer through series and cliffhangers for. They are that good. They are definitely worth waiting for. The thought and detail that she has put into this story has made up for the length of each one.

They must be read in order or they won’t make sense! So make sure you start with book one and continue through to book four!
