TM Witko ~ Shattered Glass For Eileen Marshall, life was simple enough. Teach, come home to her husband, wake up and do it again. The truth may very well destroy her like a piece of shattered glass. Susan Burdorf ~ Eye of the Beholder Dive into The Pet Stoppe, where Shelley has returned home to help her mother run the popular pet shop. Missing diamonds, a supposed haunted house, and a couple of dogs who save the day remind Shelley that life is meant to be lived. LEAK ~ J. Nichole Parkins All of her coworkers were dead - or so Lydia claimed. A simple coin toss had spared her life. On the run, she’s fleeing across the country, trying to keep her family safe in a race against time and nature. Will their luck hold, or is it too late for them all? Imposter ~ Laura Stapleton A fake doctor played the medical hero with Dr. Aaron Nicholson’s credentials. No one died, but what about the next patient the identity thief treats? Afraid of the next time this guy impersonates him, Aaron must find out who his imposter is before someone dies. Follow ~ L. Marshall James Jil's beautiful son is dead. Despite counseling and the passage of time, her unbearable sorrow persists. Desperate to find a way to let go, she visits a medium with the hope of contacting her son. 4 out of 5 (very good)

Independent Reviewer for Archaeolibrarian - I Dig Good Books!

I went into this set totally blind, like I knew nothing about it, at all! So I had no idea what was in it, or what the stories were about. I really enjoyed it! Devil's Cut, L.E. Perez, 4.5 stars Oh I need more of this series! It says its book one, and I want more, much much more. It grabbed me, and I didn't wanna let it go! Kat's gift becomes deadly when a sword in her possession accidentally cuts her. Its dark, and deadly and almost takes over her soul. The story is well written, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Please let me know when the next book is out, because this is not a complete story and I want more of Kat and that darn sword! Sweet Revenge, Kelly Abell, 4 stars Destiny sees ghosts, shades as they are called. One such shade wants revenge on his murderer, the same person who now holds Destiny hostage. Real cute, in a deadly, drug dealing, murderous way! Fairly young adult in its content, though. Still, rather good. Which for me, says something since I'm not really a young adult fan! Shattered Glass, TM Witko, 5 stars! OH!! I loved this one!! It threw me totally off, I could not see where it was going or what was really (or not) happening. And then?? BAM! finished. One complete story, with a powerful, but unexpected ending. Loved it. Will look out for more by this author, something longer. Leak, J.Nichole Parkins, 5 stars! There was a leak, at Lydia's lab. A virus they re-animated from ice, thousands of years old. It kills, and fast, and Lydia runs with her family, trying to stay one step ahead of the virus. This virus does unspeakable things to the dead. Things I wouldn't normally like to read about. However since those things are only mentioned here, I was good. And this is brilliant! Lydia has an escape plan, they all do at the lab, and its just a matter of getting where she needs to be, before the virus and those things catch up with her and her family. That's it! It's all about Lydia running and what happens along the way, radio news reports and such. How she feels, and reacts. What she thinks about. My favourite on in the bundle and I'm not just saying that cos Ms Parkins gifted it me! Imposter, Laura Stapleton, 3 stars I saw whodunnit coming a mile off, so it spoilt it slightly for me. Usually when I see things coming, I have ages to go, but because these are so short, it was like being hit upside the head with a sledgehammer. Well written though. Follow, L.Marshall James, 4.5 stars Another total shocker of an ending that I did not see coming! And another author I'd like to read more of. Eye of the Beholder, Susan Burdorf. I'm not gonna rate this one, because I didn't finish it. *sorry!* I love these anthologies, I really do. They introduce you to new authors, new series, new characters. But also, I don't like them for two reasons: 1) the stories are so short, and 2) they make my TBR pile grow! I'll give the whole bundle 4 stars.
