Two very different people. One scandalous proposition. Endless possibilities... *** I can't believe how different things are now; how complicated my life has become in such a short amount of time. It was never supposed to be like this. He's off limits. He's always been off limits. I keep telling myself that; that being here with him is not supposed to feel this good. God, he's not supposed to feel this good. I wonder what my life would have been like now if I had gone to the clinic on a different day, or if I had just insisted on going with the physician I was initially referred to. Never in my life would I have thought that in the events that followed the beginning of a regular school week, a random checkup would end up spawning a highly angst-filled, incredibly confusing, and quickly-unfolding mess. *** Feast your eyeballs and fall absolutely head over heels in love with Eme Strife's edgy, sizzling, intriguing, incredibly sexy, and captivating unconventional romance story. Each installment will keep you strapped to the very edge of your seat and constantly guessing on one hell of an emotional roller-coaster. You'll never think of the phrase,“Doctor-Patient Confidentiality”, in the same way ever again once you read this! This story unfolds over several volumes. IT IS NOT A STANDALONE . This is the first book. Rated 18+ This series contains mature and adult content (nudity, graphic sex, and strong language). Because of its explicit nature, it is intended for mature audiences only. This is a very short, quick read. The author clearly states that this is the first part of a multi book series, so I didn't expect to get a finality when I finished this book. However, I would have appreciated more information than I got when I finished the story.
The prologue is incredibly intense and pretty graphic. It's part of the story that definitely builds up tension. Sadly, I think that the rest of the book really lets down the story. It takes you back to the beginning of the story and this story is just the part of the story that takes you to where the female lead character meets the male lead character. After the prologue, the rest of the book feels kind of drab or boring to an extent. It will definitely be interesting to see the rest of the books and how they read.
This book has an extreme amount of detail and description. I don't think you could want any more as you read this story. There really isn't anything left to your imagination though. So if you crave or need lots of detail, this book has it!
I would be willing to give part two a chance to see how it plays out before I would nix the whole series. It's possible that the next story is what I needed to really pull me into the story!

Eme is an unconventional New Adult Paranormal-slash-Urban Fantasy and Contemporary Romance writer (and a bit of a sarcastic smart-ass) who might be going through a quarter-life crisis even though she is in denial of it.
Lucky for her, she has several sarcastic, upbeat, and severely vulgar imaginary friends to give her some semblance of normalcy.
She loves writing about said imaginary friends—although she does so mostly because they never seem to shut the hell up.
She's also addicted to Family Guy, American Dad, and Pandora (the online radio site, not the evil box), drinks an ungodly amount of Red Bull at any given time, wants to marry Seth MacFarlane at some point, and occasionally eats bacon and popcorn together (^_^).
