Adult, M/M, Romance

Following his heart and passion will be his biggest role of all.

Kris Hunter wants out. He’s done pornographic films for the last six years. The pay’s been good, but his creativity is nearly dead. His passion is to act and to be a star on the big screen in mainstream films. When he auditions for famed casting director, Zayn Mason, he’s convinced he’s on the right path. He doesn’t want to take the casting couch route to success, but he certainly wants Zayn in his bed. Can he follow his dreams and the man he desires or will forces beyond his control derail his progress?

Zayn Mason sees the potential in Kris. As a casting director, he looks for the right actor to fill the roles in movies. He’s seen plenty of talent come and go, but no one stirs his soul both creatively and physically like Kris. But Zayn knows the pitfalls of the movie industry. Crossing over from porn isn’t easy and Hollywood isn’t always forgiving. Besides, he’s got demons of his own. Can these men get beyond their pasts and find a future together under the bright lights of the silver screen?

Kris wants out of the porn industry, and into mainstream Hollywood. He knows it will be hard, because Hollywood doesn't like ex-porn actors treading the boards. But Zayn, casting director, sees something in Kris he hasn't seen for a while: a passion to make it. Zayn has his own dark past, though, and it will take the inner strength of both men to get over their hurdles. This is a nice fluffy romance, heavy on the insta-love. I can usually get on board with inst-love, but something here didn't quite work. I didn't feel any sort of connection for either man. Why?? I can't say, but it felt like I was JUST reading a book, rather than delving into the lives of Kris and Zayn. Does that make sense? I usually can immerse myself into whichever world I'm reding, but not so here. What I DID like was that even though we get that single scene where Kris is working (as in porn-working), before he meets Zayn, (then there was one after, but that's a whole different kettle of fish!) you don't get it in great detail. Its almost glanced over and I liked that! It was almost as if Kris turned himself off for that part. It does get sexier later on. Not a bad book, by any means, just a nice one. And you know how much it pains me to use the word nice! 3 stars

When she's not writing the stories in her head, Megan Slayer can be found luxuriating in her hot tub with her two vampire Cabana boys, Luke and Jeremy. She has the tendency to run a tad too far with her muse, so she has to hide in the head of her alter ego, but the boys don't seem to mind.

When she’s not obsessing over her whip collection, she can be found picking up her kidlet from school. She enjoys writing in all genres, but writing about men in love suits her fancy best. The cabana boys are willing to serve, unless she needs them. She always need them. So be nice to Javier or he will bite--on command. She also writes under the name of Wendi Zwaduk
