Who stole the space station? At the far reaches of the Imperium, something’s gone terribly wrong on Outstation Zori. The station has cut itself off from all communication, and the corporation that owns it sends a team of specialists to get to the bottom of this mystery. But a young con-man, a rebel leader, and a greedy space pirate are in for a mind-bending shock as they face off against alien races, bizarre religions, and an ultimate betrayal by one of their own.

I enjoyed this book and I liked the dynamics between the three main characters going to Zori to hunt down Jamie Clambers old friend. Or is he? Well, you need to read it to find out because as I found with this authors work, he can twist and turn plots very well indeed. Worth the read if you enjoy scifi thriller mix. I have to say this is a better way than many I have read of mixing the genres without using outdated ideas.

Historical, Thriller

In October 1959, someone is out for revenge against young L.A. PI, Stan Wade, who has solved a few cases for his main client, Walt Disney. When a CIA agent mistakenly dies in Stan’s place, Stan initiates a revenge investigation that leads him outside the country, and his own comfort zone, to stop a nuclear threat to Europe that will remain classified until 2012.

This book is the first of the Stan Wade stories. It is set in the 50's and is full of soviet and American spies and espionage. Although the era is not my type of read, generally, with the Sam Spade phrases etc, I did really enjoy this. Loved the way characters like Ian Fleming and Walt Disney figured in this and many people of that era, suggested previously as spies. Such a cleverly written storyline.

Historical, Thriller, Suspense

Private Investigator Eliot Cross faces heartache, headache, backache, and a royal pain in the neck in these rollicking noir stores from the heart of the Heartland.

These feature an 80's detective, Eliot Cross who is dark, troubled and trouble. That said I enjoyed these most of the four reads. The authors plot twists and turns are excellent and I like the way he gives you insight into why the investigator is how he is. The character is clever, interesting and you want to know more about him. Of all four books he is easily my favourite character.
