4 out of 5 (very good)

Everyone needs a best friend, that person that grounds you, helps you raise hell and who has your back. Ava has that in Paige.
She's spent a long time free from her traumatic past. But now her past is haunting her dreams, so she turns to Paige for her support.
This book covers many things, it evokes many more emotions and makes you stop and think.
I was irritated by Paige until I realised it was due to me relating to her. Her thought process was similar to mine and the way she reacts to the conversation she has with Ava.
Well written, this book delicately covers the subject matter. It made me ache for Ava, the feelings she had resonate in me... it's difficult to put into words as you need to read this to understand it and appreciate how close Ava is to her life changing. I think it's something that we've all felt at one time or another.
I would have loved to delve into what Ava was saying and stay immersed in it until the end.....take that journey with her from the beginning. However, the breaks in conversation were spot on. Perfectly placed to stop you, as a reader, from drowning in emotion.
Definitely for adults, this is a snuggly blanket, chocolate and wine kind of read.
4 out of 5 stars for me, definitely worth a read.....go on, start a book club and have this first on your list!

Originally from the United Kingdom, Morgan Sheppard now resides in Germany, although she freely admits to having left part of her heart in Wales. Morgan is the author of the fantasy series, World of Wraidd Elfennol, and also the contemporary, women’s fiction novella, Disjointed Lives. Whilst a writer mainly in the fantasy genre, Morgan is more than happy to share her love of reading amongst the many different genres out there, and can always be found with a book close by. As well as reading and writing, Morgan spends her time looking after her family and trying to learn German. Unfortunately, a natural aptitude for languages doesn’t appear to be one of her strong points. However, stubbornness is, so she continues to persevere. So far, Morgan is confident enough to order a beer and a pretzel. Feel free to email her at MorganJSheppard@gmail.com or stalk her online on Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr.
