Two months have passed since Derek Areios—war-scion and heir of Ares—and the band of rogue scions he’s aligned with recovered both the Thunderbolt of Zeus and the Heart of the Devourer and returned them to the Gods. During the battle, Derek discovered he could control not only the element of fire, as all war-scions can, but also the dark element “aether,” making him the only scion alive to wield two types of elemental magic. Commanded by Zeus to retrieve the Trinity Weapons and the Shards of Cronus, Derek and the rogue scions are thwarted in their goal by a gang of water-scions with a grudge against one of the rogues—Thea, heir of Poseidon. Both groups travel to an uninhabited island to recover one of the Shards––the Eye that belonged to Cronus, King of the Titans. But what they encounter will lead them down a path of brutal betrayals, hard truths, painful memories, and desperate actions. With angry and impatient gods breathing down his neck, a curse that allows Ares to control him, a prophecy he’s desperate to avoid, a magic spear corrupting his thoughts, and two forms of elemental magic, Derek has a lot of baggage—and a lot of power. Will the price of using that power to satisfy the Gods be too much for him to pay? Mythological monsters, explosive magic, and devastating truths take center stage in the second novel of the action-packed AREIOS BROTHERS series from Amy Braun.

This book was just as good as book one, and it ended with a cliff hanger just as monumental. I had a great time reading this book. It was a page-turner and I was not able to put it down for a good two full days. And, just like in book 1, my eyes were glued to the page where I kept wondering how it would all end. And of course, the ending was a surprise that I expected, but not how it turned out. Ares is a God to not trust and he holds his promises.

Liam and Derek were, of course, incredible, as well as all of the other characters. There were quite a bit of surprise along the way and too, my breath away for a moment when I read them.

I highly recommend this series to all those who love action, Greek mythology, nasty surprises, twists and turns as well as incredible characters to go along with it all. This book is most definitively a 5 stars book. Happy reading all!

Ninety-nine percent of the time a story with Greek Gods in it is a winner for me.....Hunt of the Gods is well and truly in that ninety-nine percent.

It's full of action, secrets, hope and fear. You'll be kept on your toes throughout, reading about seemingly insurmountable problems.......

This is a real page turner that's ideal for young adults......or anyone that's interested in stories with Greek Gods, passion, intrigue and a little sadness.

I love the interplay between the characters and the bonds that build between them. We get left with questions though but luckily there's another book! I can't wait.

I only had a vague idea when I picked up this book about what it was about, but little did I know how knee deep I would get into it the second I started reading it. If you do not know much about Greek mythology, you might feel a bit lost, but since I already knew a bit on the subject, I did not feel lost at all.

The action in this book is constant and it is also going at a fast pace, but with many details. It is easy to let the story capture you and make you a prisoner. I know I was not able to think of much of anything else until I was done with it, and now I know I want to read book 2.

Derek and Liam are incredible characters. They are solid and they are incredible. I had a wonderful time getting to know them and felt that the world was a better place in this type of urban fantasy that is on the verge of a dystopian type of world where the Gods are back to rule it and where a story from out of this world is what drives us to want to know more.

I had a lot of fun reading book 1 and I can't wait to get to book 2.
