The weather has turned here in Germany - the leaves are falling from the trees, and the temperature has definitely dropped. The other night, my windows actually fogged up on the outside! Apparently, this is a good thing as it means my windows are stopping any heat-loss, but still. It's the first time I've seen that happen. LOL. How about where you are? Are you heading into summer or winter?

The Onyx Prince (The Journals of Ravier #3) by J.R. Vaineo
A FATE TRULY WORSE THAN DEATH . . . Is there such a thing? Before travelling through a portal to the world of Muraine with my friend, Gemma Galloway, I would’ve said no. But now? I’ve come to realize that there is. So many things are worse than death, here on this world with magic.
One matter at the forefront is his desire for me. The King of Vitiosus, Zymarc, desires me for his next apprentice. I’ve managed to resist him, thus far. That decision, however, is harder and harder to hold to. There is nothing he will not do to get to me, to tempt me, to break me. And he means to break me. But if he cannot have me, well . . . as I said, there are fates truly worse than death itself. And I’ve seen death too, a spirit most terrifying and powerful. Yet it is Zymarc, whom I fear more than death, more than Soren, more than anything.
I didn’t know why, either. Why should I, Tyler Malik Ravier, fear him? Then I saw his true face. Not the face of the Vitiosyn King. But the face he had before the change, before the corruption of that vile magic, when he was simply an Onyx Warrior. His features are familiar. On and on, I agonize over who he reminds me of. Can it be true? Could he really be who I think he is? And what if he is? Do I hold the strength and courage to put that creature down? Or simply will I hand over the dragon-horse to appease him?
Or, worse . . . will I join him?

Death Do Us Part by Miranda Grant
Honey, Does This Taste Like Poison To You?
I've never been a fan of murder. The mess, the smell, the whole hiding the body thing after - it always seemed like way too much work. But trust me, when you're married to Richard Morningstar, that "work" starts to feel an awful lot like "play". The man is a snake and king of the fairies.
A barbarian. A war monger. A sex god. Uh, I mean a...an ex pod? Doesn't matter.
The point is, it's either him or me. Because one of us is going to die, and at the moment, it's my execution scheduled in three weeks. So I just have to figure out a way to kiss him - kill him - before then, take his throne, and turn his whole nightmarish kingdom upside down. Easy right?
Maybe - if he wasn't my lifemate.
And if my panties didn't drop every time he snapped his stupid fingers.

Binge Killer by Chris Bauer
A female bounty hunter tracks a maniacal killer to a town in rural Pennsylvania.
A town with its own dark secret…
Counsel Fungo is a unique woman. An experienced bounty hunter, she’s very good at her job. You don’t have to ask. She’ll tell you. Officially, her two canine companions are her therapy dogs. Unofficially, she considers them to be her partners. Counsel has suffered intense loss and was once the victim of a horrible crime. But now these experiences drive her unquenchable thirst for justice. And she’ll do anything to stop criminals from preying on the vulnerable.
Randall Burton is a serial killer and a rapist. Diagnosed with a terminal disease, he has jumped bail and intends to go out in a blaze of glory. He heads to sleepy Rancor, Pennsylvania, named one of the “Safest Towns in America,” for one last, depraved, hurrah. A quiet town tucked away in the Poconos, its citizens are mostly widowers, bowlers, and bingo players. Mostly.
There’s a reason no one in Rancor has reported a major crime in the past 50 years. And neither Counsel nor the killer are quite ready for what this town has in store...
