Welcome to Archaeolibrarian, Stories Worth Unearthing.

We're so glad you're here. This is our little corner of the internet where a lifelong love of reading gets to run wild through honest reviews, blog tours, and the occasional bookish rabbit hole. We dig through every kind of story, from quiet historical fiction to sweeping fantasy, to bring the good ones up into the light.

We truly believe there's a perfect book out there for every reader, and we'd love to help you find yours. New content goes up regularly, so do pop back often to see what we've been reading lately.

We also have a store over on Bookshop.org, and it's one of our favourite things about running this blog. Every book we've reviewed or featured on tour lives there (whenever it's available on the site), so you can go straight from reading about a book to actually getting your hands on it — while supporting your favourite local independent bookstore at the same time. It really is a win all round!

Excerpt: The Crucible by Aoibh Wood

Aethyrim like Mora Dray don't enroll. They're delivered. Property of the Empire. Trained to kill. Culled when they break. Mora walks through the gates with quick knives, a closed mouth, and a secret that will hang her if anyone looks too closely. So the plan is the one that's kept her breathing this long: be nobody. Head down, scores middling, name off every list. She has invisible down to an art. Nobody warned her about Liora Skaggs.
