HAUNTED HEART is part of the Holiday Billionaire Romance Novella series. In case the title hasn't clued you in, the holiday is Halloween. This novella gives you an over-the-top-in-the-best-way Halloween party, a cute six-year-old, an aloof boss, a cold ex, and a curvy, down-to-earth nanny.
Augustin is the billionaire boss, going through a tricky divorce from Carmen, and Mateo, their son, is the one caught in the middle. Elena is the nanny, determined to do her best for Mateo and give him stability and love as much as possible.
This was wonderfully written, with instant attraction but a slow burn to physical contact. Once it gets to that stage, it is hot and suitable to the story. I was rooting for Augustin and Elena, hoping that everything that stood in between them would be sorted out so they could be together. Carmen is a great character you love to hate. Is it wrong of me to want her spa to fail spectacularly?! If she did nothing else, at least she gave Augustin the oomph to figure out what was really important.
A quick read that I definitely enjoyed and have no hesitation in recommending.
