Unlike his parents and his twin Seamus, Ian O’Donnell is not a good witch. Or rather, he isn’t quite good at it. Studying charts and remembering candles hasn’t ever really been his thing. Still, he longs to see the mystical sites of the world, especially the Great Pyramids of Giza. When Ian finally reaches them, though, he finds himself more attracted to the sexy man who works the night shift at his hotel than he does the pyramids.

Ian’s able to convince Khnurn to take him to the desert for a romantic evening in front of the pyramids. Everything’s going great until Khnurn gets serious. He tells Ian he’s a vampire and they’ve known each other before. Unfortunately, Ian can’t recall ever having been in a serious relationship in this life, or any other, and he isn’t quite sure Khnurn isn’t just feeding him pick-up lines. When Khnurn leaves Ian alone to think about things, another man appears in Ian’s life, a crazy-looking spectre that might just be the Angel of Death.

Ian soon finds himself hightailing it back to Massachusetts just in time for Halloween with his wonderfully animated witch family and their coven. Unfortunately, it isn’t souvenirs Ian’s brought back with him, but rather the creepy spectre from the desert, and maybe a sexy vampire who might just be the love of his life.

5 out of 5 (exceptional)

Independent Reviewer for Archaeolibrarian - I Dig Good Books!

This is book 2 in the series, and you MUST, I say, MUST read book one, Reap This, before you read this one. You NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED it for the full experience!

Ian is Seamus' twin, but he doesn't class himself as a good witch. Taking himself off to see the Pyramids, he becomes involved in a chase across the world. And he falls in love!

I loved this book, more than book one. It's again only short, and only Ian has a say, Khnurn the vampire doesn't get a voice. And of COURSE I wanted to hear from him, especially as there is history here between Ian and Khnurn.

Well, I was loving it, until, Jadison does what he does and you have never heard such foul language come out of my mouth!

I mean, there I was, happily reading away. The spectre that chased Ian across the globe wants his reward. I couldn't see how that would happen but then??

Well, I can't say exactly, cos spoilers, but suffice to say, I had a proper Violet Elizabeth moment (google it ;-)) and I threw my toys out the pram, and I spat my dummy out and I flung my poor kindle so hard it bounced off the bed and I was worried I had broken it! And I sent a right snotty message to Mr Jadison, telling him just what I thought of what he did and asking how he was gonna fix it! Because it needs fixing!

There was a hint as to that it would be fixed, to be fair, I just can't see HOW it's gonna be fixed.

Anyways! Even though Mr Jadison done caused me to turn the air blue, or maybe BECAUSE he did, I don't much care either way . . .

Rafe Jadison is the author of Seduced by Shark Shifters, Seduced by Shark Shifters II: Logan’s Tail, Seduced by Shark Shifters III: Tom’s Turn, Reap This, Blake Blacks Out, and Peter Passenger and the Mothman. He has a great love of the water and of people, and he hopes that shows in his writing.  He has lived most of his life by the water and knows just how magical a place it can be, and what wonderful things can happen there.  It is this magical association with the water that inspires him to continue writing the By the Water series.  In the Oh, So Happy Holiday series, Rafe hopes to celebrate many different people and the wide and wonderful variety of things that they believe in.  The Differing Sexuality Series, is designed to showcase those people who romance novels and erotica frequently forget.
