Valla is a powerful warrior of her people. She returns home feeling a failure after a mating did not work. Hathos drags her on an adventure to find the dragon of his dreams, quite literally! Vadin captured said dragon of dreams to find out what his connection to the beasts who killed his family is. Something goes awry with his plans and he is forced to unite with his demons to save his home, and himself. FINALLY!!! We get some answers. We not only get why the dragons were encased in ice, but we also get whodunit too! I have been waiting for this information since book one! Vadin encased the dragons after they killed his family, destroyed his village. But he was encased too and he shouldn't have been. After the dragons awake, so does he. He needed to find his connection to the dragons so he can finally destroy the. It takes Valla, a female of the beasts, to give him some answers, but they are not the answers to the questions he asked. He gets slightly more than he asked for. Vadin captured Oliana to help him with his quest. She reaches out to Hathos, who sets out to rescue her from the pain she is suffering at Vadin's hands, that he feels through their dream connection. So this is a two for one romance, and I loved it! Its fairly clean too. Which I also loved. Don't get me wrong, it has heat and passion, its just glanced over, not at all laid out for you. Very well written from all the main players points of view. This does, unfortunately, bring this trilogy to a close. I didn't know there was just gonna be the three. And I'm sad about that. I would like more of these dragons in my life. 4.5 stars
